Good flights, great connections and a stunning sunrise over Scotland started our Adventures. After asking for directions only six times, getting on the wrong Side of the Metro twice we made it to The Rembrandt Hotel.
Great suggestion, Vicki. It's a cozy room with a deck overlooking the garden. This hotel is in the Old Jewish section and once was a boarding house for young Jewish women before the war. But sadly that all changed with the occupation when those women were deported.
We just can't get over all the bikes here and how they own the streets. It's just exciting to see all of this cycling activity.
We feel like Lewis and Clark on the Corps of Discovery: so many wonderful things to behold. And who knew that a little restaurant that's only been open two months could make such killer spareribs! It's Bordjes Amsterdam's signature dish and it was a treat!
Can't wait for the next adventures to reveal themselves tomorrow.
Be careful. Many of those bikers have been hanging out at the coffee shops!
ReplyDeleteDid you really write "30 years"? Criminy!
Have a beautiful trip, you two!
